This is a vintage ""Clara Bearton"  from the North American Bear Company's iconic "Very Important Bear" (VIB) series. Designed by Barbara Isenberg, this highly collectible royal blue plush bear is a clever, historical pun on Clara Barton, the legendary founder of the American Red Cross. Originally debuted in 1979, she comes dressed in a traditional nurse's ensemble featuring a blue-and-white striped dress, a pristine white apron, and a matching nurse's cap detailed with a red cross icon. A perfect addition for vintage toy collectors, teddy bear enthusiasts, or anyone wanting a touch of historical whimsy on their shelf.
