Bundles for Britain was started in 1940 in a New York city storefront, with sweaters, socks, scarves and caps; in less than two years, over a million knitters were contributing through almost a thousand branches. It was an incredible effort with far reaching aid to the British soldiers. This memento is made in vermeil with a red, white and blue enamel bow supporting a white shield showing a lion and the phrase "dieu et mon droit" ("God and my right"). It measures 1.5" inches across and is signed “Official Bundles for Britain” and “USPat.123071"
