"Play Your Cards!!" Kaplan Playing Card Collection Book

Published by the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Connecticut, "Play Your Cards" accompanied the Stuart and Marilyn R. Kaplan Playing Card Collection exhibition. The exhibition took place at the Bruce Museum in December of 1995 through February 4, 1996. 

The exhibition showcased antique playing cards and card games from many eras on history and types of games. There are reading games, social games, word building games, Parker Brothers games, cartomancy, Napoleonic P.O.W. Boxes, and so much more. 

Stuart Kaplan was the founder and president of U.S. Games Systems, Inc., and with his staff researched,designed, produced and were underwriters of the catalog. Mr. and Mrs.Kaplan's collection was astounding: sixteen hundred card games, more than 700 playing card decks, and over three thousand books pertaining to playing cards and card playing. 

Play Your Cards!! museum exhibition book has 96 pages, with 68 pages of full color illustrations, and 28 pages of excellent description and background of each illustration. It is softcover, wit a dog ear on right front cover, some wear on covers. Interior is excellent.
